The city of Valencia hosted the Gala of the Michelin Guide Spain & Portugal 2022. This event happened on December 14th of 2021, at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía presenting the new selection of restaurants distinguished with a star.
Spain is committed to developing and exporting quality and sustainable tourism. Recently, the Spanish Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, assured that they’re investing in "a model that improves the quality of the tourist offer" and sustainability of the sector, along with "good practices" that will be replicated in countries with a presence of Spanish companies. The minister pointed out that important hotel chains "are very clear about respecting the environment, they are reducing plastics in many hotels around the world."
The “Mercado” de San Antón, a unique food market in Chueca neighbourhood, just around the corner from Gran Vía, has completely renewed its image. In recent years, the market management decided to combine traditional food stalls with gourmet gastronomic offers, but the group apart from the concept, visioned a complete re-style, giving to the market a new and avant-garde image. The new and refreshed image of the space seeks to reconcile the classic and modern, mixing more traditional materials such as steel and granite, blending it with neon signs or 3D techniques.
