Porto is considered Portugal’s second largest cosmopolitan city, it is a real gem easily identified by its beautiful Atlantic coastline, and its colorful city old quarter “Ribeira” bathed by the iconic Douro River. Santiago de Compostela is undoubtedly one of the most important European cities in terms of Catholic culture and as a pilgrimage destination for those who want to visit the tomb of the Apostle Santiago el Mayor (James the Great), or just to contemplate the monuments of this historic city declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985.
