From the Net to the Table

A group of 45 guests from the United Kingdom traded the boardroom for the coast of Cádiz, and what followed was anything but ordinary. A corporate program built around gastronomy, local culture and raw coastal experiences that left a lasting mark.

One of the days began with a culinary walk through the historic streets of Cádiz alongside a local chef. Winding through picturesque alleyways and past the city's iconic watchtowers, the route led to the buzzing Mercado Central de Abastos. Here, guests discovered the freshest local ingredients, especially the daily catch, chatting with local vendors and savoring a small tasting along the way. The experience continued at the chef's own restaurant, where an intimate cooking session brought a traditional Cádiz dish to life in their own hands.

Then came Barbate. The group boarded a boat and sailed towards the almadraba near Conil de la Frontera to witness a levantá, the breathtaking moment when fishermen raise the nets to haul in wild bluefin tuna using a centuries-old technique unchanged by time. Back on land, the ronqueo awaited: the traditional tuna cutting process, named after the sound the knife makes along the backbone, a ritual as mesmerizing as it is precise.

The program rounded off with a tuna cooking workshop, a tasting menu dedicated entirely to bluefin tuna, a wine tasting at the legendary Bodegas Osborne in El Puerto de Santa María, and a sunset boat experience drifting along the Atlantic coast. Gastronomy, tradition and authenticity, Cádiz didn't just show up, it showed off!
